BEEP Product Feed – Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BEEP Product Feed (the “App”) collects, uses, stores and deletes information when a merchant installs and uses the App on a Shopify store. The App is provided by Softwix Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom (“Softwix”, “we”, “us”), with development and support carried out by our team at Softwix IT in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

BEEP Product Feed creates product feeds (for example for Google Merchant Center, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and Microsoft Merchant Center) from the products in your Shopify store.

1. Information the App accesses

When you install the App, you grant it read-only access to your store’s products (the Shopify read_products permission). The App uses this access to read:

  • Product and variant details: titles, descriptions, handles, product type, category, vendor (brand), tags, variant options (such as colour or size), SKUs, barcodes (GTIN), prices, compare-at prices, availability and product status.
  • Product image URLs and product page URLs.
  • Basic store details: your store’s domain, name, primary domain, currency and whether it is a development store.

The App does not request access to your customers, orders, checkouts or payments, and it does not collect or store personal information about your customers. It also does not store the names or email addresses of your staff accounts.

2. Information we store

  • Store and session data: your shop domain and the access token Shopify issues to the App, so the App can read your products and update your feeds.
  • Feed settings: the feeds you create, including channel, file format, field mapping, filters, schedule and tracking (UTM) settings.
  • Feed files: the generated feed files (XML, CSV, TSV or JSON), which contain the product information listed above.
  • Plan status: whether your store uses the Free or Pro plan, and technical records such as when each feed was last generated and any generation errors.

3. How we use the information

  • To generate and update your product feeds, manually or on the schedule you choose.
  • To show previews, skip reports and settings inside the App.
  • To check which plan your store is on and enable the matching features.
  • To provide support, investigate errors and keep the App secure and reliable.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Feed URLs

Each feed has a public URL containing a long random code, so that the sales channels you choose (such as Google Merchant Center) can download it. Anyone who has the URL can open the feed, so share it only with the channels you intend to use. Feed files contain product information that is intended to be published by those channels. You can delete a feed at any time, which deletes its file and URL.

5. Billing

Paid plans are billed through Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never see or store your payment card or bank details. We only receive the status of your subscription from Shopify.

6. Service providers

We use the following kinds of providers to run the App. They process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service:

  • Shopify, for app installation, product data access and billing.
  • Cloud hosting providers, which run the App’s servers and store its database and feed files.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Bangladesh. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

7. Data retention and deletion

  • We keep your information while the App is installed on your store.
  • When you uninstall the App, its access to your store ends and its session data is removed.
  • Shopify then sends us a data deletion request for your store, and we delete your feeds, feed files, settings and plan records.
  • Because the App does not store customer personal data, customer data requests and customer deletion requests that Shopify forwards to us involve no customer records held by the App.

8. Security

The App requests only the permission it needs (read-only product access). All connections to the App use HTTPS, feed URLs use long random codes, and access to our systems is restricted to authorised staff.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or US state privacy laws, including the right to access, correct or delete your information and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You can also delete feeds or uninstall the App at any time.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let merchants know inside the App.
